Large Clearview Wood Burning Stove with Custom Cut Cornish Slate Hearth

This installation was part of the construction of a beautiful orangery in East Meon. Initially we installed the Poujoulat Twinwall chimney system & laid the cornish slate hearth. Then the false chimney breast was constructed out of clockwork and plastered. Finally we fitted, tested & signed off the Clearview 650 wood burning stove. Installation of Wood Burning Stove into Existing Decorative Brick Fireplace

This goes to show that a modern styled stove can look great paired with a traditional fireplace. As with all our installations into existing chimneys, we swept and lined the chimney and then closed the fireplace with a steel register plate. The existing hearth looked amazing already and met all the requirements set out in the building regs. The customer chose the Contura 51L cast iron wood burning stove which looked great against the traditional brick fireplace. Wood Burning Stove Insert with 50mm Cornish Riven Slate Hearth in Odiham, Hampshire.

Here we removed an old fire surround & opened the fireplace up to it’s original swept arch. The customer requested a log store area beneath the stove which you can see being constructed below. The wood burning stove is a Contura i5 installed in the inset style with a very thick cornish slate hearth to finish. Enamel Wood Burning Stove in Resized Brickwork Fireplace in Frimley Green, Surrey

The customer wanted to retain some of their old fashioned decorative brickwork fireplace but to give it a bit of a facelift. There was a backboiler in place which needed to be removed. We then reinstated the brickwork and rendered the inside with a stop return to give it a sharper look. Some new pieces of honed slate to finish off the hearth & a black enamelled Dovre 250 multi fuel stove. This is one of those jobs that proves anything is possible.
