Log Burner Installation Services

Fitting a log burner is a stylish & efficient way to heat a room. Wood is a sustainable, carbon neutral heat source making it cleaner than gas or coal.

The fire and hearth have traditionally been the heart of every home. A typical wood burning stove has an efficiency rating of 75% compared to 20% of a typical open fire. Log burning stores allow us to responsibly continue this tradition whilst saving resources and improving air quality within our local environment.

Each of our log burner installation are first fully surveyed. This gives the opportunity to discuss in detail the customers specifications, aesthetic requirements and to give initial assistance in selecting an appropriate wood burning stove for the size of your room.  The survey also serves to ensure all building regulations and safety requirements can be met.

An estimate based on this survey is then produced and sent to the customer, usually within 7 days. Once everything has been agreed by the client, we can schedule in a date for the work to begin and we will need to receive the deposit payment before we can commence work. All of our installations will be registered as part of the HETAS scheme with certification issued directly from HETAS HQ.

Firebug offers a complete wood burner fitting service which includes any required building work from lime render and plastering, the supply and fit of hearths and surrounds and the complete installation. We carry out testing or camera surveying of the existing flue and can also offer chimney repairs or complete chimney rebuilds.

Once your log burner installation is complete, we can then offer ongoing support with the servicing, maintenance & sweeping of your appliance.
