The exposed position of the chimneys on your property means that they will be hit hardest by the elements. Failing pointing or flaunching encourages water ingress which, combined with the action of frost in the colder months, can lead to a rapid deterioration of your chimney stack.

As part of every log burner installation we will assess the state of your chimney stack and recommend any repairs that may need to be carried out. This can be as simple as capping a disused flue or replacing a damaged chimney pot, repointing the chimney stack or replacing the flaunching on the top of the chimney. Sometimes years of neglect can leave a chimney stack unstable and unsafe which may require partial rebuilding, damage of this sort can often be seen from the ground.
